Vanier Museopark

Can’t decide whether to visit a museum or a park? Experience the best of both worlds at the Muséoparc Vanier Museopark, a community museum located in the heart of a heritage forest!

This unique museum, the only francophone museum in Ottawa, aims to preserve the heritage of the Richelieu Park, the Vanier community, and the French-speaking population of Ottawa. Explore both indoors and outdoors with a variety of exhibitions, collections, and educational programming.

Be sure to visit in March or April when the Richelieu Park’s sugar shack is open and 10,000 trees are traditionally tapped during maple sugar season. A small giftshop sells various maple products and souvenirs, including the delicious maple syrup! Explore this unique museum in a natural, yet urban setting.
