Goulbourn Museum

First established as a military settlement in 1818, Goulbourn is one of the oldest communities in the Ottawa area, and has a rich local history. The Goulbourn Museum exhibits chronicle 19th and 20th century rural township life, with a particular emphasis on the 100th Regiment of Foot, Goulbourn’s soldier-settlers who arrived after the War of 1812. Children can dress up in period costumes and engage in hands-on activities such as bartering for supplies as they learn all about pioneer life through a variety of interactive displays.

Also featuring a History Centre for genealogical research, special presentations for children, seniors and school groups, gift shop, and guided tours, there is something for every visitor at the Goulbourn Museum. Step into the past and appreciate local heritage in a whole new way.
