Cumberland Heritage Village Museum

Experience the rustic charm of the 1920s and 1930s at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum. This rural village has been constructed just thirty minutes from downtown Ottawa. With a charming mixture of heritage and reproduction building, you can truly wander back in time with visits to a general store, sawmill, blacksmith forge, and canteen with old-fashioned treats sold in vintage packaging.

Children will make lasting memories as they enjoy a variety of exciting programs and activities. From wagon rides and animal visits, to go-carts and life-sized board games, there are fun activities for children of all ages. Don’t miss the model steam trains presented by the Ottawa Valley Live Steamers and Model Engineers. They are on site every second Sunday, so be sure to check ahead for special programming schedules. After a full day of fun at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum, your family will not want their visit to end!
